Schubert Deltiography Query

An online Schubert Postcard Catalogue

Note that the Deltiography should be considered to still be in beta test mode. The code is fundamentally working, so the site behaves as expected. However, the underlying database is still in the process of being converted from the previous (Postcard Viewer) format to the one required by the Deltiography. This is most noticeable in the comments fields, which may be garbled, as the format for managing links to other cards and different variants is much changed. We are also re-scanning all cards. This is a slow process. If there is a thumbnail, but no scans of the cards, then the card has not yet been updated.

Status Update: 31st Jan 2007. The birthday has arrived, and the database update is not yet complete. We are around two-thirds of the way through the process, and have largely completed portraits and buildings, etc. We still have to update most works cards, cards from centenary sets, and some Sängerbundesfest cards. We have around 50 more cards to catalogue, in various categories. At the present rate of progress, we anticipate completion in mid to late February, at which point there will be comfortably over 1100 cards listed.

Status Update: 12th Nov 2007. After a long hiatus caused by illness, work on the deltiography has started again. We are already over the 1100 card predicted in January, and suspect that with recent discoveries, at least another 200 postcards are still to be catalogued. The update of previously catalogued cards is continuing, and is now well into the works cards. The update is now unlikely to be completed before the new year.
