Theodor Presser and Co. in
Philadelphia published the Etude magazine. It was described as "A
Monthly Journal for the Musician, the Music Student, and all Music
Lovers". Typically about 80 pages, there were a series of
learned, but more often not-so-learned articles, and regular
features (junior etude, singers, organists, etc). Every issue had 20
or so pages of (mainly piano) sheet music in the centre, and
adverts, mainly musically oriented.
|
Postage will be advised
on order, approx £1 per Etude, decreasing as more are
bought. Buy 5 or more magazines (Etudes, Musical Times
, Masters in Musicor The Musician) for a 10%
discount, 10 or more for a 20% discount.
|
Note that the Etude pages
have images of most Etudes, and thus may take a while to load. We
have broken the listing down onto several pages, to reduce the
likelihood of downloading unnecessary images. However, you may wish
to turn off the automatic display of pictures.
|
Note that we handle
significant numbers of magazines. Any pictures or content
descriptions given here are from our database of generic
descriptions of the contents of a complete copy, and pictures of an
individual copy of a particular issue. Please read the descriptions
carefully - the picture may not be of the exact copy offered, and
the description of the copy actually offered will include flaws
which may include missing pages, or pages with clippings. We are
always, of course, happy to provide answers to detailed queries
about any copy.
