Issued in a limited
edition in 1997. The medallions are 2 inches in diameter, with the
head of Schubert by SIUK member Brian Pinder, after W. A. Rieder, on
the obverse, and an incipit of An die Musik on the
reverse. The inscription on the obverse reads "Franz Peter
Schubert . 31 Jan 1797 - 19 Nov 1828", and on the reverse "The
Schubert Institute (UK) . Bicentenary Celebration". They come
in a transparent plastic case and will be a most welcome addition to
any Schubert enthusiast's collection of Schubertiana. |

figure of Schubert taken from Schmid's oil painting Schubertabend
